Traditional Peninsula Valdes
We make daily trips to Peninsula Valdés, a unique place in the world due to its geographical characteristics and its variety of fauna; a place where, year after year, the Southern Right Whales come to complete their reproductive cycle.
We begin our journey to Puerto Pirámides, a small tourist village located 93 km from the city of Puerto Madryn, where we will board a boat for whale watching accompanied by whaling guides (optional).
We continue our journey towards the interior of the peninsula in search of diverse varieties of marine fauna.
In Punta Delgada we will find a wild rookery of sea lions and elephant seals, we will join this site with Punta Cantor by a path that borders high cliffs facing the Argentine Sea.
In Punta Cantor we will have the possibility of appreciating Elephant Seals and the impressive view of the mouth of Caleta Valdés, where Orcas have been sighted at certain times of the year.
On the way back to Puerto Madryn, we will stop at the Carlos Ameghino interpretation center, a small museum dedicated to the dissemination and recognition of the terrestrial and marine fauna of the area. The museum is located in the narrowest part of the Ameghino Isthmus, and you can appreciate its unbeatable view of the Nuevo, San José and Isla de los Pájaros Gulfs.
On the way back it is very common to find species of native fauna, such as guanacos, choiques, maras and even gray foxes, among others.

This excursion, which begins at the end of the whale season and ends in April, changes its route, leaving the southern part of the peninsula towards the Punta Norte berths, where you will have the chance to observe Orcas.
Whale Watching
From May to December of each year , whales arrive at the shores of Golfo Nuevo to continue their reproductive cycle (copulation, birth and rearing of their calves).

Whale watching is regulated in order to guarantee the safety of both the passenger and the marine species. Safety operating techniques have been developed for this purpose.
While you sail, a specialized and bilingual whale guide will explain the customs and characteristics of this giant of the sea.

Puerto Madryn
Dolphin watching
This is a navigation with several daily departures, which depart from the coast in front of the city and sail along the cliff coasts to the south, to the Punta Loma area, with the intention of finding Dusky Dolphins and at the same time observing the South American sea lions and rock cormorants on the coast.
Then a crossing is made through the Golfo Nuevo to the port area. On this trip is possible to find the group of dolphins.

El Doradillo Beach
Setting off at the time of the highest tide is the appropriate time to take this excursion. 17 km north of Puerto Madryn, there is “El Doradillo” Beach, where from the end of May you can start to see the first mothers of Right Whales arriving at the place to explore and prepare for the ritual that takes place every year. Shortly after arriving, you can start to see the first calves.
Listening to the sound of their “song”, observing the majesty of their bodies or being amazed by the spectacular nature of their jumps, make this tour an unmissable outing.

Punta Loma
Leaving Puerto Madryn towards the south, 17 km away, we find the Punta Loma Sea Lion Reserve, a permanent colony of South American sea lions.
The Punta Loma Protected Natural Area is a wildlife reserve, created for recreational and tourist purposes, the first of its kind in Latin America. Here, you can observe juvenile species, sub-adults, and breeding species (males and females).
Then, at another viewing point, you can observe a nesting of rock and imperial cormorants, which are breeding.
This place is preferably visited at low tide, to be able to appreciate the sea lion community more clearly.

Adventure I: Punta Loma and Cerro Avanzado
This is a special experience for those who enjoy the adventure of off road (4x4).
We access the coasts of Golfo Nuevo aboard 4x4 vehicles, under the permanent guidance and advice of our specialists. After an educational tour through the south of the city, the vehicles will enter into a rugged geography, in canyons, dunes, or bordering cliffs in a continuous succession of panoramic points.
Traveling through Playa Paraná (with its history of shipwrecks), you will access the bases of Cerro Avanzado, to then enter the Punta Loma Provincial Reserve, a protected area for one of the largest colonies of South American sea lions.

Where the sky comes to us
We invite you to discover the world of astronomy, as a unique experience, exploring the Patagonian sky. We will learn about the stars, their composition, their origins, why they shine, how to distinguish the constellations, and more.
We will talk about mythology, the worldview of other peoples and the Solar System. Adding information about rural life, the Tehuelches, the first settlers or whales, looking for a connection between them and the stars.
The content is educational and entertaining, with scientific rigor but told in a clear way, both for children and adults, and thus begin to recognize the sky and understand it as part of Nature, as a cultural, natural and scientific Heritage.
To achieve this, we will look for a location far from the city of Puerto Madryn, about 15 or 20 km, to avoid light pollution, a necessary condition to be able to observe our sky more clearly (This location varies according to the time of year)

Valle Inferior del Río Chubut (VIRCH)

Dolphin Watching (Toninas Adventure)
Toninas Adventure is a marine sighting company with many years of experience, with the most suitable and select staff, all of them marine wildlife guides. Located in Puerto Rawson, it offers the possibility of enjoying a nautical trip in its mythical sea 365 days a year, to see the Commerson's dolphin (Tonina Overa).

At Punta Tombo, you will have the incredible opportunity to walk among them, explore their nests and immerse yourself in a unique natural environment, surrounded by the sea, the Patagonian desert and rock formations of a captivating reddish color.
Our visit to the reserve will last approximately 3 hours, more than enough time to enjoy this encounter with wildlife. In addition, you will have the option to have lunch at the reserve, delighting in a delicious meal while marveling at the surroundings.
After this experience in Punta Tombo, we will head towards Puerto Rawson, where you will have the opportunity to embark on an unforgettable adventure: the sighting of the Commerson's dolphins (boat not included). Traditional I: Ameghino Dam
About 170 km west of Puerto Madryn, we find the Florentino Ameghino Dam, a water reserve in the region that also serves as a hydroelectric dam that provides electricity to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI).
It is located a few kilometers from the detour of the main route, at the highest part of a volcanic rock canyon, where the containment wall is fitted.
At this panoramic point, we will make our visit a photographic safari, where you can appreciate those chromatic contrasts between the emerald green color of its waters, in combination with the reddish color of its banks.
In the place, interpretive walks, bird watching and later, a circuit to the kaolin deposits are carried out, where you can find the imprint of a fossil volcano.
On the way back, we will visit the Welsh town of Dolavon, and tour the flour mill, where wheat from the Valley was ground from the late 1800s, at the beginning of Welsh colonisation.

Our regular daily excursion, available from September 15 to April 15, will take you from Puerto Madryn on an exciting 70 km journey across the vast Patagonian steppe. Our first destination will be the emblematic Punta Ninfas lighthouse, a valuable reference point for sailors entering the majestic Golfo Nuevo. Continuing on our way, you will reach El Pedral, an authentic Patagonian estancia built at the beginning of the 20th century. The estancia's hull, with its furniture and materials brought from Europe, will transport you to those bygone times. This historic house, opened in 1923, has preserved its original aesthetics and style to this day. From here, we will head to the captivating colony of Magellanic penguins, established on the shores of El Pedral, just a few steps from the house. Accompanied by our expert guides, you will enjoy a guided tour among the nests of these curious animals, discovering more about their fascinating life.
During the summer, we recommend that you bring a cap, sunglasses and your own bottle of water to keep you cool and hydrated.
